I was thinking about the following possibility: What if by chance there was a Super Team Equivalent of Legion of Super-Heroes for Earth-4? It would not necessarily need to be a supergroup of heroes from alien worlds, they could very well be extrasolar colonies of 35th century humanity of Earth-4 whose members would possess superhuman powers resulting from the xenogenetical manipulation of human organisms that they would bestow on the inhabitants of the extrasolar colonies of Earth meta-human powers and abilities to adapt them to survival in hostile alien environments that would give them a whole range of different powers such as psionic powers , beastly physiologies with animal-like super powers , organisms composed of silicon or other types of elements such as metal, diamond, volcanic magma, ectoplasm possessing mineral-like powers and abilities , organisms adapted to underwater life possessing super powers amphibious , organisms adapted to life in environments of abrasive heat and unimaginable cold owners of incandescent or freezing super powers , bird-like organisms with bird's wings and genetic structure adapted for flights owners of super powers of winged creatures , insect-like organisms with bodies with characteristics derived from some species of insect resistant to radiation and with enhanced senses and strength , reptile-like organisms owning bodies derived from some species of reptile owning superhuman strength and superhuman senses beyond of regenerative powers , plant-like organisms with the metabolism capable of carrying out photosynthesis owners of plant super powers , organisms adapted to life in environments with a lighter or heavier gravity than Earth's that give them attributes of agility and speed or strength and endurance superhumans , organisms with elemental powers such as fire , air , ice , water , earth , wood , metal , electricity , light and darkness able to manipulate these elements as they wish , organisms empowered to manipulate the four fundamental forces of the Universe strong and weak gravitation , magnetism , radio particles and quantum particles , organisms with shapeshifting powers capable of taking whatever form they wish among the examples that come to mind. To complete it, we could postulate that in Earth-4 there would still be international tensions between the super powers of the future and that new powers emerged to take the place of the USA and USSR and the power among Earth's extrasolar colonies would be divided between these new super powers of the future ? What do you think of this idea?

Well, actually more than five, if you could the contributions outside official 5 Earths continuity in the Infinite Earths section here. Although I have to confess, I'm a hardcore fan of the original Five Years Later Legion and to me, they will always be the definitive article. But hey, it's cool to see other future metasapient groups as well.

I really feel very happy to know that other Multiverse Earths also have super teams of heroes in the future cosmic of their worlds.I think it's really cool that there are other futuristic superhero groups beyond the Legion of Super-Heroes defending the universes of the future of the 5 Earths against cosmic threats and super-villains from the future of each of the different Universes. |

kaiserleomon you are a good writer - why not write a quick story with some of the characters you propose? If you don't have any story ideas in mind, one thing you might do is find an existing LSH story you like, swap out the heroes and villains in the original story for some of your own characters, and then put the story into words... I've done that before, and have usually found that I have to straighten out some of the details of the original story and in doing that, the whole thing gets changed enough to come out looking new.

I confess that I never thought much about writing a fanfiction myself here on the DC 5 Earths forum. Honestly I never tried to write a fanfiction myself with the characters I usually quote. I've never written anything about superhero fanfiction in my entire life and I don't think I would have the care and attention to detail enough to write a superheroes and supervillains fanfiction. It's that thing I have some interesting ideas but at the time of writing myself I don't have the talent for that. Another thing I don't master the English language and google translator is a poor tool when it comes to translating. I don't think it would be easy for me to write a fanfiction. Not that I don't want that but unfortunately I don't think I would have the necessary talent. |

That would be cool. If you are doing a future fanfic, it does not have to match up with any of the other future stories posted here. So you could create a totally new team in a future that works the way you want it to. Or you could have one of your suggested characters meet with one of the existing future teams. Maybe two or three of your suggested characters could run into each other while stopping a bad guy, and they decide that they want to team up again in the future?

I still haven't stopped to think about what the theme of the fanfiction could be if I happen to write it one day! There are many cool themes for fanfictions beyond a super team of futuristic heroes from the cosmic future of some of the 5 Earths I for example was thinking about the possibility of writing a story with my idealized version of Justice League International bringing the super team that I came to suggest in another topic I posted here in the past. There are a lot of fanfiction themes that would be really cool in which I could eventually write a fanfiction even with super groups totally idealized by me. I will not promise that I will write because as I said I never got to write absolutely anything when it comes to fanfiction. This will depend a lot on what I have in terms of inspiration at the moment but if it happens I will definitely post it here. |
