P P.T. Boat: Ensigns Ron Paul and Tobias Perry were dating the same girl , named Dorothy when graduate. The two men intensely dislike one another but both are assigned to the same PT boat squadron in the South Pacific. Phantom Eagle: Mickey Malone is to young to be a pilot in the Army Air Corps even he has been flying for six years. , but he works at an American air base as a civilian handyman and mechanic in the Pacific. He is constantly teased by his immediate superior, Sergeant Flog. Mickey builds a plane from scratch and becomes the Phantom Eagle soon after a Japanese raid. In 1943 the Phantom Eagle meets Jerry Sloane, daughter of a kidnapped American aircraft designer, who learns the Phantom Eagle is really Mickey Malone and becomes his partner. Together they build the new Comet Plane and rescue Jerry's father from the Japanese in Tokyo. In the summer 1943 Phantom Eagle's Comet Plane crashes and he is seriously injured and he has amnesia as well as a form of PTSD. Gerry finds him in the hospital after more than a month. Before that she found Mickey's father's old flying helmet. Gerry helps the Phantom Eagle recovers enough to leave the hospital. At her father's plant creating a new Comet Plane they are attacked by German assassins ordered to kill the Phantom Eagle. After defeating them the Phantom Eagle remembers that he has vital information for an allied victory in North Africa, which he gives to them as soon as he flies back to North Africa. R Radar, the International Policeman: Radar is Pep Pepper, the son of a circus strongman and acrobat and a mind reader. He can read minds and had quick reflexes and acrobatic ability as well as low level superhuman strength. His most impressive power is his radar vision. He is a private in the army in 1944 when he meets Captain Marvel, whom he impresses and recruits for he international police force. #711: #711 is the young attorney Dan Dyce. Jacob Horn is a Dyce;s life long friend. The pair closely resemble one another. Horn, however is a two time loser want by the polce for yet a third felony. Because Horn's wife is due to have a child Dyce agrees to take Horn's place until the baby arrives. Dyce is arrested and convicted as Horn in February of 1939. Meanwhile Horn is killed in a traffic accident on the way to see his child and Dyce is still in Westmore Prison two and a half years later. As he has been sentenced to life in prison because Horn was a three time loser. #711 digs an escape tunnel but prison has affected his mind as he decides to stay in prison as #711, the number assigned to him in the prison. #711 has been active and known to the authorities by his first recorded case. He reclaims the hidden funds stolen from widows and orphans in his first appearance. The Strange Twins: The Strange twins are Douglas and Rodney, the twin sons of Neville Strange, who were born in London in 1910. Rodney is kidnapped and raise by the criminal Wing Low of his master's orders because Rodney' father cause the Chinese criminal to go to jail. Rodney is raised to be the new leader of the Tong as Rod Wing Lo. He does not know who he really is and smokes cigarettes. His Brother Douglas smokes a pipe and is a inspector for Scotland Yard. In 1936 Douglas decides not t go to a costume ball, but Rodney does appear as he wants to steal a famous ruby. Douglas is arrested and convicted for Rodney's crime with only his fiance Wendy Hale believing his innocence. Five years later in 1940 Douglas is released from prison. He can not find employment and becomes determined to find the real thief. He does and Rodney winds up in jail in their first appearance. The brothers remain adversaries until they are in Africa in early 1941. In 1942 The twins are now both working for the British government in the Pacific. Streak the Wonder Dog: Streak is an above intelligent dog who was born in America's timberland and soon own by a woman named Sara Dale. Sara gave Streak to her forest ranger name Luke Dale when she join the army during the war. In 1948 Luke receives a letter from Sara who is now in danger. Streak is left behind by Luke but he follows his master on his own. Streak finds Luke only to see him killed by gangsters. Streak attacks the thugs and his shot multiple times. Green Lantern save Streak and the Sara Dale with the help of Streak from the war criminal Dr Malorgo. Sara give Streak to Green Lantern as she remains in military intelligence. In 1949 Streak is shot when a police officer is killed and Alan Scott in away. Streak is nursed back to health by a young detective named Tom. Superboy/ Superman II: The silver aged Superman origin is pretty much the same as the first Superman; but he began his career as Superboy in the Smallville, a small town somewhere near Metropolis. During those years he meets the then reporter Perry White and later Lois Lane as Clark Kent in a contest for high school students wanting to become reporters. Clark was friend with a high school braggart named Tommy Tuttle, who later became a mailman. Lana Lang is a neighbor who constantly tries to prove that Superboy is Clark Kent and she is more of an irritation than any kind of love interest in the early years as Clark's first romantic encounter was with a girl named Betty. Years later he would become Superman and begin working at the Daily Planet for now editor Perry White with fellow reporter Lois Lane. He also met a young cub reporter Jimmy Olsen, who's father he had saved years earlier as Superboy. He becomes fast friend with Batman II after they learn each others identities and they often work cases together. Three Aces: The Three Aces are Gunner Bill, Whistler Will, and Fog Fortune. They was WWI pilots who own their own planes and became globe trotting soldiers of fortune. As they traveled the globe they gained the name “Three Aces”. Each one is a naval reservist. During WWI First Lieutenant Gunner Bill was by far the best man with a gun, hence his nickname was the Ace of Diamonds. Bill was an orphan. He had no sir name as he rejected the one the foundling home had given him. Second Lieutenant Whistler Will Saunders, he Ace of Hearts, was a orphan as well but he was raised by a rich rancher in Arizona. Second Lieutenant Fog Fortune was the Ace Clubs Fog came from money and had a speech impediment that didn't harm his skill as an aviator. Gunner is an orphan with no last name, he gained the name Gunner during the many wars he fought. He is also an airplane designer and engineer. As a child Whistler Bill was found alone in he desert by Matt Sanders and his daughter. The Sanders raise Bill. At age twelve he saved Sally from a rattlesnake, at sixteen he killed a gang of rustlers. As he became older he learned to fly and visited home less and less even as his fame grew. Sally and her fiance are kidnapped the day before their wedding. Whistler Bill alone rescues them. Fog as a speech impediment. The Three Aces return to active duty in the US Navy as pilots aboard a the aircraft carrier USS President Theodore Roosevelt with the onset of WWII. T-Man Pete Trask is a world traveling Us Treasury agent. He is cigarette smoking ladies man. Larry is greying around the temples. He was a senior treasury agent before WWII when he resigned and became a fighter pilot for the army air corp in China. During that time he came across a pair of counterfeit American twenty dollar plates that he as able to hide in an old Siamese temple. He was shot down later and spent several years in a Japanese POW camp. He rejoined the Treasury Department when he was discharged. He first assignment was to retrieve the plates for the Treasury Department. He catches the engraver and her gang in his first appearance. In 1952 Pete has a small part of his right ear shot shot off. Starting in late 1953 female Treasury Agent Terry Gordon starts work as T-man's sometime assistant. The Whip I: The Whip I is Johnny Lash who went West with his parents on a prairie schooner. His parents were killed a quartet of robbers dressed as Indians. Later Johnny was found on the trail by stagecoach driver Pedro Gonzales who raises Johnny. He also teaches him how to use a whip and fire a gun while Johnny trains his horse Diablo I. Johnny then begins to ride shotgun on the stagecoach. Then one day the stage is held up by the same men who killed Johnny's parent led by Smiley Walker, who's laugh Johnny recognizes. Pedro and Johnny are both shot and left for dead. Johnny returns to his home and dons a costume before track down the three murderous stage coach robbers and purposefully killing them with the whip. Wonder Boy: Wonder Boy come from the planet Viro, which was destroyed when it collided with a star. Wonder Boy escaped in a rocket that rocket crashes in the middle of Chicago, killing hundreds. He is mistaken to be a survivor of the neighborhood because he appears to be human. He is placed in an orphanage. Wonder Boy decides to leave the orphanage and goes to Europe to try and stop the war; swimming across the Atlantic Ocean in a weeks time. He fights on the side of the allies for a time in his first appearance. He is said to have the strength of a thousand men. He is invulnerable with great stamina. He does not seem to need to eat or drink and is highly intelligent, but naive. Wonder Boy's rocket crashes in the middle of Chicago, killing hundreds.
