Okay, so at long, long last (!!!) the Justice Society has returned to current DC continuity. And here's a look at their current line up- from the left, Cyclone (granddaughter of Ma Hunkle, the original Earth-Two Red Tornado), Power Girl, Hourman II, Mr Terrific II (Michael Holt), Hawkman (Katar Hol or Khufu, though?), Dr Fate, Green Lantern (in a new outfit), the Flash (Jay Garrick), Atom Smasher, Jade, Jakeem Thunder and Thunderbolt, Stargirl, a female Doctor Midnite, Obsidian and a female Wildcat (Yolanda Montez). Hmm. An interesting set of choices. I'm a major Power Girl fan, so any team with her in it is one that I have definite time for. So, I assume Hourman, Mr Terrific, the Golden Age Atom, Johnny Thunder, Starman, the original Dr Midnite and Wildcat are either retired or deceased in this latest JSA iteration. I'm personally sorry to see that the original Hourman, Dr Midnite and Wildcat are no longer in the lineup and I assume Johnny's absence means that the current lineup is carrying on the timeline that has Johnny suffering from Alzheimers. I like Michael Holt as a character, so that's a plus. I wonder why Alan has a new outfit after all this time? And how is Katar/Carter going to deal with Kendra/Shiera's death during the Death of the Justice League story arc? And where's Helena (the Huntress) Wayne, my second favourite JSA legacy character? It'd be interesting to see Michael and Helena interact, given that Helena is Earth-Two Batman's daughter and has probably inherited her father's intellect and deductive skills. And for the record, I know she didn't fit into the accursed post-Crisis solitary Earth framework, but I still loathed the abrupt way that such a well-developed, nuanced character like the Huntress was killed off in the closing stages of the Crisis on Infinite Earths. To be honest, I hope she returns to the current lineup soon. One of the few things that the New 52 Earth-Two iteration got right was bringing back Helena Wayne/Huntress, IMHO. So, without further ado, here's the link and here's the current JSA lineup: mlpnk72yciwc.i.optimole.com/cqhiHLc.WqA8~2eefa/w:auto/h:auto/q:75/https://bleedingcool.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/35.jpg

I simply adore the Justice Society of America with all my heart. I love the formation of this team of Geoff Johns which I consider to be one of the best and most iconic super hero teams in the DC Universe . I love with all my heart the super team formed by : Atom Smasher / Albert Rothstein , Nuklon II / Gerome McKenna (of Earth-2 who would have quantum super powers similar to Captain Atom's and at least here wouldn't need to die pathetically like a dog ), Damage / Grant Emerson (of Earth-2 who would have powers over atomic radiation comparable to Universe Marvel's villain The Radioactive Man, who at least here wouldn't have to have his face disfigured and die cruelly like in the comics), Sentinel / Alan Scott , Flash / Jay Garrick , Wonder Woman II (Artemis of Bana-Mighdall of Earth-2), Emerald / Nicki Jones (of Earth-2 she possesses the power to psionically control the particles of ambient light for a wide range of powers limited only by its imagination she can project highly destructive bursts of green light energy capable of vaporizing steel plates, bend the particles of photons around herself by becoming invisible , create perfect illusory holographic images, create solid light constructs that can be used for a wide range of uses comparable to those of Green Lantern with the difference that they have absolutely no particular type of vulnerability, she can also create semi-solidified light-energy green auras around objects, people, shredded material, weapons, vehicles etc. that allow she to levitate or manipulate them psychically in a similar way if one uses the power of telekinesis although in that case electromagnetic pulses and charges of static electricity interfere with these auras of solid green light and may block its effect preventing she from using this power over other people, objects or material around she , she also moves the objects, people, material, wreck, machinery, weapons, etc. for her psionic semi-solidified green light-energy auras in a sense more familiar to the users of telekinesis, with movements of the hands accompanied by an aura of green light, she can also use the positive energy of ambient light particles to heal wounds on herself or other people, can conjure around herself or allies force fields of photonic energy, she can see at all the wavelengths of the light spectrum, she can fly the speed of light and convert your body into a form of living luminous energy which would make she comparable to Jade), Wildcat II / Yolanda Montez , Tomcat / Tommy Bronson , Northwind / Norda Cantrell (of Earth-2 in his giant Man Hawk form), Fury / Hippolyta "Lyta" Trevor-Hall, Hawklad / Hector Hall, Hawkman / Katar Hol / Carter Hall , Hawkwoman / Shayera Hol / Shiera Sanders Hall , Jade / Jennifer-Lynn Hayden, Obsidian / Todd James Rice, Starman / Jack Knight, Starwoman / Courtney Whitmore, Hourman / Rick Tyler, Hourwoman / Rebecca Tyler, Doctor Midnight / Dr. Elizabeth Chapel , Doctor Mid-Nite / Dr. Pieter Cross, Doctor Fate (Kent V. Nelson of Earth-2) , Jonni Thunder , Jakeem Thunder / Jakeem Johnny Williams and Thunderbolt / Yz , Brainwave, Jr / Henry King, Jr. (of Earth-2 who would never have gone insane and become a villain and an enemy of humanity) , Air Wave II (Harold Lawrence Jordan of Earth-2), Power Boy (the New God of Apokolips of Earth-2) , Power Girl (Kara Zor-L / Karen Starr of Earth-2), Batlass (Helena Wayne of Earth-2) , Batlad (Tim Drake of Earth-2) , Trajectory ( Eliza Harmon of Earth-2 ) , Blue Devil (Daniel Cassidy of Earth-2), Citizen Steel (Nathaniel Heywood of Earth-2), Cyclone (Maxine Hunkel of Earth-2), Darknight (Unknown of Earth-2), Jesse Quick (Jesse Chambers of Earth-2), Judomaster (Sonia Sato of Earth-2), King Chimera (Unknown of Earth-2), Mister America (Jeffrey Graves of Earth-2), Mister Terrific (Michael Holt of Earth-2), Red Beetle (Sara Butters of Earth-2), Ri (Unknown of Earth-2), Sandman (Sanderson Hawkins of Earth-2), S.T.R.I.P.E. (Patrick Dugan of Earth-2), Shining Knight (Sir Justin of Earth-2), Skyman (Sylvester Pemberton of Earth-2), Crimson Avenger (Lee Travis of Earth-2), Wing (Wing How of Earth-2), Amazing-Man (Markus Clay of Earth-2) , Red Tornado (John "Reddy" Smith of Earth-2), Superlad (Lor-Zod / Christopher Kent of Earth-2) , Cyclotron (Doctor Terry Curtis of Earth-2) , Iron Munro (Arnold Raymond "Iron" Munro of Earth-2) . I hope this group is here to stay.

Judging from the lineup pictured, Huntress, Hawkgirl, and the original Golden Age Atom, Dr Midnite, Mr Terrific, Hourman and Wildcat are either dead or deceased. Okay, fair enough. Earth-2 has always more real time than Earth-1.

Earth-2 has always more real time than Earth-1. I would very much like to see the Justice Society of America of Geoff Johns reunited with the iconic team that brings together the best of both worlds bringing legendary superheroes and superheroines from the Golden Age of comics and at the same time all-new and never-before-seen heroes heirs of the Heroic Legacy of the Members of the Justice Society of America of Earth-2.

According to DC's Nov. solicitations the classic JSA appears to be back as a result of Flashpoint Beyond. Johns has apparently been put in charge of what may be a new imprint. Initially the imprint consists of the one-shot New Golden Age and two spinoffs: an ongoing JSA which appears to include Dick Grayson's Robin, Helena Wayne's Huntress and Yolanda Montez and Beth Chapel. The other series is a six issue mini called Stargirl: the Lost Children.
The premise has Stargirl and Arrowette investigating why almost all of the teen sidekicks of the Golden Age dissappeared. It includes most of the classic sidekicks as well as new ones who seem to be proteges of the Specter, Dr. Fate and Human Bomb. Perhaps most surprising is the son of John Henry from the New Age.
This may mean the real Earth Two is back. Not impossible since the Infinite Earths are reportedly back at the end of Dark Crisis.

Well, technically the 'real' Earth-Two has been back since the end of Convergence. So, by the looks of it, given the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths have now been abolished altogether, what does that mean for the Earth-Two Superman and Lois Lane Kent? Did she die in real time? What about Kal-L? And why is there an Earth-Two Human Bomb, given that Roy Lincoln's a member of the Earth-X Freedom Fighters? And if the Crisis on Infinite Earths is now non-operative, what does that mean for the Earth-Two Green Arrow and Speedy?
Or, for that matter, the original Earth-One Supergirl, Barry Allen Flash, Aquagirl, Lori Lemaris, the original Crime Syndicate, and everyone else who died during the CIE? Hmm, come to think of it, if there's now no CIE, then that means the Justice Alliance of America and Earth-D are now intact and still in existence.

I assumed when i saw Human Bomb it meant that the All-Star Squadron was still in continuity. This better turn out to be Earth Two. If not, I will be seriously disappointed.

Okay, some further thoughts on Stargirl: The Lost Children. This is a post Flashpoint Beyond timeline which means time is screwed up again. That may explain why the Human Bomb and his protege Cherry Bomb coexist with the classic JSA. Also why the Newsboy Legion is now retconned with Flip and that girl whose name i can"t remember from later versions. I'm mostly intrigued by the two young girls with the Revolutionary War names; Betsy Ross and Molly Pitcher. Who could their mentor(s) be? Mr. America, Uncle Sam or Miss America? Maybe somebody new. Just as long as they don't put them all on main earth. It would be too confusing to have two Dick Graysons running around on the same earth.

It is odd that some people think of the adult Wing as a teen sidekick. Roy Thomas was always pretty clear in depicting him as a grown man.

So, Beyond Flashpoint 6 dropped and the final page revealed the 13 characters who were held outside of the timestream. They have now been reintegrated (retconned) into the Golden Age. Speculation follows. Mister Miracle. I haven't written any fan fiction but I always thought we missed the boat not using an Earth Two MM. It was stated, I believe, when Thaddeus Brown met Scott Free that he had been performing since the Forties.
Red Lantern. Not sure about this one. Personally don't like the emotional spectrum.
Betsy Ross Molly Pitcher. My first thought was proteges of Miss America but I actually think Liberty Belle fits the motif better. Other fans have speculated Mr. America. I suppose they could have one each.
Ladybug. Maybe the original Blue Beetle
Salem, the Witch Girl. The green skinned girl who appears to be Dr. Fate's apprentice in the teaser last time.
John Henry Jr. Probably New Frontier John Henry related. I don't suppose they have to all be from the Forties. Some could be from later.
The Harlequins Son. Its been speculated by others this might be an alternate version of Flashpoint Beyonds' Dexter Dent.
Judy Garrick. Flash Jays daughter. First teased in Stargirl Spring Break Special and again in Flashpoint Beyond 2.
Legionnaire. Not sure of this one. Possibly squire to the Shining Knight.
Cherry Bomb. We know he's the sidekick of the Human Bomb. We don't know if this is a new Human Bomb or the Earth X original. Its even possible TNT and Dan, the Dynamite take the names. Although Dan was in the Stargirl teaser art. Still, I guess that doesn't mean they can't take the names later.
Quiz Kid. Probably the kid with fair play on his jacket. My thought was maybe he's Genius Jones reimagined. Could be both.
Aquaman. Looks like the original has been restored. Maybe the Earth Two Clea? and Atlantis as well.

Upon further review it appears Cherry Bomb is female so probably not Dynamite.

It could also be a relative of (or replacement) for the brief Infinty Inc era Harlequin.

Was Ordway's ad/ scene with Robin in his Super Squad era costume just a promo or is the E-2 Dick Grayson going to be back? I wish he could return.
