According to DC's Nov. solicitations the classic JSA appears to be back as a result of Flashpoint Beyond. Johns has apparently been put in charge of what may be a new imprint. Initially the imprint consists of the one-shot New Golden Age and two spinoffs: an ongoing JSA which appears to include Dick Grayson's Robin, Helena Wayne's Huntress and Yolanda Montez and Beth Chapel. The other series is a six issue mini called Stargirl: the Lost Children. The premise has Stargirl and Arrowette investigating why almost all of the teen sidekicks of the Golden Age dissappeared. It includes most of the classic sidekicks as well as new ones who seem to be proteges of the Specter, Dr. Fate and Human Bomb. Perhaps most surprising is the son of John Henry from the New Age. This may mean the real Earth Two is back. Not impossible since the Infinite Earths are reportedly back at the end of Dark Crisis. I'm really glad to hear that. I really like these characters all and nothing would make me happier or give me greater satisfaction than seeing them all back together as members of the Justice Society of America.

Well, technically the 'real' Earth-Two has been back since the end of Convergence. So, by the looks of it, given the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths have now been abolished altogether, what does that mean for the Earth-Two Superman and Lois Lane Kent? Did she die in real time? What about Kal-L? And why is there an Earth-Two Human Bomb, given that Roy Lincoln's a member of the Earth-X Freedom Fighters? And if the Crisis on Infinite Earths is now non-operative, what does that mean for the Earth-Two Green Arrow and Speedy? Or, for that matter, the original Earth-One Supergirl, Barry Allen Flash, Aquagirl, Lori Lemaris, the original Crime Syndicate, and everyone else who died during the CIE? Hmm, come to think of it, if there's now no CIE, then that means the Justice Alliance of America and Earth-D are now intact and still in existence. I think it might be positive to have Earth-2 Post-Reboot DC Universe with Superman/Val-Zod Black African American, Flash/Jay Garrick, Green Lantern/Alan Scott, Atom/Al Pratt, Aquawoman/Queen Marella of Atlantis, Red Tornado / Lois Lane, Captain Steel / Henry Heywood, Jr. , Power Girl / Kara Zor-El , Batgirl / Helena Wayne , Batman / Thomas Wayne , Fury / Donna of Amazon Island and at the same time the Earth-2 Classic with Geoff Johns' emblematic Justice Society of America with Golden Age iconic heroes and the heirs of the heroic legacy.

So, Beyond Flashpoint 6 dropped and the final page revealed the 13 characters who were held outside of the timestream. They have now been reintegrated (retconned) into the Golden Age. Speculation follows. Mister Miracle. I haven't written any fan fiction but I always thought we missed the boat not using an Earth Two MM. It was stated, I believe, when Thaddeus Brown met Scott Free that he had been performing since the Forties. Red Lantern. Not sure about this one. Personally don't like the emotional spectrum. Betsy Ross Molly Pitcher. My first thought was proteges of Miss America but I actually think Liberty Belle fits the motif better. Other fans have speculated Mr. America. I suppose they could have one each. Ladybug. Maybe the original Blue Beetle Salem, the Witch Girl. The green skinned girl who appears to be Dr. Fate's apprentice in the teaser last time. John Henry Jr. Probably New Frontier John Henry related. I don't suppose they have to all be from the Forties. Some could be from later. The Harlequins Son. Its been speculated by others this might be an alternate version of Flashpoint Beyonds' Dexter Dent. Judy Garrick. Flash Jays daughter. First teased in Stargirl Spring Break Special and again in Flashpoint Beyond 2. Legionnaire. Not sure of this one. Possibly squire to the Shining Knight. Cherry Bomb. We know he's the sidekick of the Human Bomb. We don't know if this is a new Human Bomb or the Earth X original. Its even possible TNT and Dan, the Dynamite take the names. Although Dan was in the Stargirl teaser art. Still, I guess that doesn't mean they can't take the names later. Quiz Kid. Probably the kid with fair play on his jacket. My thought was maybe he's Genius Jones reimagined. Could be both. Aquaman. Looks like the original has been restored. Maybe the Earth Two Clea? and Atlantis as well. I would just find it wonderful if these thirteen characters happened to appear on a regular and permanent basis in the DC Universe after the resurgence of the Infinite Multiverse with the end and conclusion of Dark Crisis as possible members of the Justice Society of America. I would love to know more about: Mister Miracle : I would find it fantastic if this Mister Miracle happened to be Thaddeus Brown the man who inspired Mister Miracle / Scott Free in an Earth-2 counterpart of this character Red Lantern : I would love it if this Red Lantern happened to be a remake of a classic character from the Silver Age comics not a member of the Red Lantern Corps but a remake of a classic and forgotten character Betsy Ross would be interesting to have her back. Molly Pitcher could in principle be quite interesting to have an original Miss America protected character appear as a heroine in the comic book titles of DC Comics. Ladybug could be a cool female heir to Dan Garrett's heroic legacy with powers of a mystical nature rather than a scarab symbiote. Or perhaps a successor to the Earth-2 of the heroine Sara Butters heroic legacy. On the other hand, I don't know if you know but there is already a heroine of the Earth-8 called Ladybug . This one: dc.fandom.com/wiki/Ladybug_(Earth_8) Ladybug is a superheroine member of The Rampaging Retaliators. History Watching Wundajin being defeated by extra-universal visitors, her leader commanded the team to defend themselves against them. When things got settled, the Retaliators these strangers until they found Lord Havok opening the Genesis Egg, watching in horror the arrival of The Dark Monitor Notes Ladybug is an homage to Spider Woman of Marvel Comics. Salem , the Witch Girl I think it would be fascinating if the current Doctor Fate / Khalid Nassour had a young witch as an apprentice in the same style as Sabrina of the "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" television series. John Henry Jr. It would be really cool if by chance John Henry Irons the Steel had a son on Earth-2 who was able to effectively supplant his father's scientific intellect and become a much more powerful and efficient Steel for the DC Universe. The Harlequin Son would be a really cool son of Duela Dent for Earth-2 who could be a much more efficient and effective crime-fighting uniformed vigilante than his mother. Judy Garrick loved this idea with all my heart I always thought it was very strange that Jay Garrick was happily married as a husband but needed Barry Allen to have an heir to the heroic legacy. Giving him a daughter and her very likely being a super speedster superior to her father is a fascinating thing to look forward to. Legionnaire I would find a young squire for The Shining Knight very cool, owner of high principles of honor of the Knights of the Round Table. Cherry Bomb as I said I think it could be very cool an heir to the heroic legacy of Human Bomb of the Earth-2 that would be a completely different character from the young sidekick of Human Bomb member of the group Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters. Quiz Kid. I would find a Mister Terrific sidekick in the same style as Robin, Red Robin and Nightwing really cool and capable of effectively overcoming them all. Aquaman I would really like a totally new and completely unreleased King of the Seas and Oceans from the DC Universe who could possibly be the adult son of the first Aquagirl/Lisa Morel. I would also find simply fantastic if by chance DC Comics brought back as members of the Justice Society of America plus others like for example : Nuklon II / Gerome McKenna of Earth-2 , Damage / Grant Emerson of Earth-2 , Emerald / Nicki Jones of Earth-2 , Fury / Hippolyta "Lyta" Trevor-Hall, Silverwind / Hector Hall, Wildcat II / Yolanda Montez of Earth-2 , Tomcat / Tommy Bronson of Earth-2 , Northwind / Norda Cantrell , Jade / Jennifer-Lynn Hayden, Obsidian / Todd James Rice, Starman / Will Payton of the Earth-2, Starwoman / Courtney Whitmore, Hourman / Rick Tyler , Hourwoman / Rebecca Tyler , Doctor Midnight / Dr. Elizabeth Chapel , Jonni Thunder , Jakeem Thunder / Jakeem Johnny Williams and Thunderbolt / Yz , Brainwave, Jr. / Henry King, Jr. , Power Boy (the New God of Apokolips of Earth-2) , Power Girl (Kara Zor-L / Karen Starr) , Trajectory ( Eliza Harmon of Earth-2 ) , Skyman / Sylvester Pemberton , Osiris / Amon Tomaz of Earth-2.

I assumed when i saw Human Bomb it meant that the All-Star Squadron was still in continuity. This better turn out to be Earth Two. If not, I will be seriously disappointed. There are equivalent counterparts of every superheroe or superheroine existing in all worlds of the Multiverse so I think it could be the same with the Human Bomb there being the Human Bomb of Uncle Sam and The Freedom Fighters and the Human Bomb of the Justice Society of America of Earth-2.

Okay, some further thoughts on Stargirl: The Lost Children. This is a post Flashpoint Beyond timeline which means time is screwed up again. That may explain why the Human Bomb and his protege Cherry Bomb coexist with the classic JSA. Also why the Newsboy Legion is now retconned with Flip and that girl whose name i can"t remember from later versions. I'm mostly intrigued by the two young girls with the Revolutionary War names; Betsy Ross and Molly Pitcher. Who could their mentor(s) be? Mr. America, Uncle Sam or Miss America? Maybe somebody new. Just as long as they don't put them all on main earth. It would be too confusing to have two Dick Graysons running around on the same earth. I think with the revival of the Infinite Multiverse at the end of Dark Crisis or at least with my hope that eventually the Multiverse of Infinite Earths will really come back all these characters will probably be in it. Basically they would be equivalents of other Multiverse Earths of the characters we know in completely new and unexpected versions.

It is odd that some people think of the adult Wing as a teen sidekick. Roy Thomas was always pretty clear in depicting him as a grown man. I would very much like if by chance DC Comics created an adult Wing How partner of Crimson Avenger / Lee Travis who would dispense with firearms and make deadly weapons with his hands being an excellent martial arts master like Green Hornet and Kato.

Upon further review it appears Cherry Bomb is female so probably not Dynamite. I would love to see an entirely new and unreleased version female of TNT for the current DC Comics Universe.

I would like if they happened to introduce a new character that was the son of Duela Dent the Harlequin from Earth-2 who would be completely different from his Earth Prime counterpart

Was Ordway's ad/ scene with Robin in his Super Squad era costume just a promo or is the E-2 Dick Grayson going to be back? I wish he could return. I would think it would be cool if by chance they created the son or daughter of Batman and Catwoman / Selina Kyle from Earth-2 the Son or Daughter of Nightwing / Dick Grayson and Batgirl / Barbara Gordon from Earth-2 the son or daughter of Red Hood / Jason Todd from Earth-2 the Son or Daughter of Huntress / Helena Bertinelli from Earth-2 the Son or Daughter of Orphan / Cassandra Cain from Earth-2 the Son or Daughter of The Signal / Duke Thomas from Earth-2 the Son or Daughter of Bluebird / Harper Row from Earth-2, the Son or Daughter of Batwing / Luke Fox, the Son or Daughter of Azrael / Jean-Paul Valley from Earth-2 among others.

One of the things about alternate universes is that they sometimes produce surprises. For instance, in some of them, Barbara Gordon's brother Tom is quite sane and works as crimefighter Batboy; Ryand'r, Starfire's brother, is Starbolt; Wonder Woman has a brother, Hippolytus; there's a Ms. Flash instead of Kid Flash; and Geri Dayton is Beast Girl. That's basically the line up in my Justice Alliance Infinite Earth thread, where they're the Young Defenders of Earth-500, proteges, siblings and offspring of the JAA there. The new Earth-Two may have some other surprises. But as they say, variety is the spice of life!

I think it's really cool to know that during the Silver Age of the comics of DC Comics there were completely new and unexpected characters like all these characters that I didn't even know existed. I believe it's truly amazing that the Multiverse makes room for infinite and varied possibilities with the heroes and heroines we know in terms of legacy heirs I would love if they show up heirs completely unprecedented and unexpected of the Justice Society of America.

The You Tube trailer for New Golden Age dropped by Geoff Johns. He describes the thirteen with the term "Legion of Sidekicks". Not just a throwaway line, I'm sure.

Interesting this news about the thirteen heroes being called by Geoff Johns the "Legion of Sidekicks" because it means that everyone can have, to a greater or lesser degree, heirs of the heirs of the heroic legacy of great heroes of the Golden Age and generally "sidekicks" usually grow to leave from the shadows of the heroes who inspired them to build their own legends.

So all weekend long DC released online Who"s Who pages of the thirteen. For those of you who want to wait for a physical copy be warned: spoilers abound.
Aquaman and John Henry Jr.: As expected they are the original GA Aman with his history mostly intact. John Henry is the character from New Frontier as some of us expected. But now he is the uncle of John Henry Irons, the hero who became Steel. Mister Miracle is Thaddeus Brown who originally mentored Scott Free. He apparently was the leader of the Justice Society Dark. Of the remaining ten, nine appear to be new characters. They're incredibly racially and culturally diverse for characters that were supposedly created in the forties. Judy Garrick is Jay's daughter but it looks like Johns took a page out of the CW's notebook. Judy travels back in time where she occasionally assists her father under the code name Boom. My first instinct about Betsy Ross and Molly Pitcher was correct. Miss America is their mentor. We knew Cherry Bomb was Human Bomb's protege. Salem and Dr. Fate was correct. The Harlequins Son is in fact the son of Molly Mayne and an as of yet unnamed father. Quiz Kid is Mr. Terrifficks' sidekick. I was hoping Genius Jones would take the name but he probably wasn't diverse enough. Ladybug is now aide to the Red Bee. Most surprising are the Red Lantern and the Legionnaire. Red Lantern is a Soviet hero who gained his powers as a result of the Soviet Red Labs recreating the powers of the American hero Green Lantern as a counterpoint and deterrent to him. Only the Legionnaire wasn't revealed. His page had him in silhouette with no other information although he appeared to be wearing a Legion Flight Ring. There was also what appeared to be a Time Bubble on the page. The Who's Who pages are supposed to be part of the New Golden Age book so we will see if there is any more information. Johns did say everyone who was ever in the JSA will eventually show up in the series. Thom Kallor was there for a while so it may be him if it is a Legionnaire from the future.

Johns did say everyone who was ever in the JSA will eventually show up in the series. Thom Kallor was there for a while so it may be him if it is a Legionnaire from the future. I find it fascinating to think that DC Comics is bringing back countless sidekicks of legendary DC Comics Golden Age heroes as members of the Justice Society of America I'm really curious and excited about the news that these characters will all appear I really want to know more about all of them and see how they do as members of the Justice Society of America About the characters: Aquaman and John Henry Jr. I really hope Aquaman is some character related to Aquaman/Arthur Curry like let's say his son Arthur Curry Jr. or perhaps a less obvious character like Koryak or Cerdian to fill the position of "Official Aquaman of the Justice Society of America" as for John Henry Jr. I would think it was cool to be the son of John Henry Irons the Steel coming from the future owner of a super scientific intellect capable of calling his father an "amateur" who created an infinitely more technologically advanced battle armor. Mister Miracle / Thaddeus Brown I loved the idea of bringing back the first Mister Miracle that inspired Scott Free and I loved even more knowing that he will command a "Justice Society Dark" I can't wait to know who the members of this team will be. I hope DC Comics Golden Age Magic Superheroes. Wonderful to know about Jay Garrick's daughter the first Flash I've always wanted to see Jay with kids to teach and set an example so it's going to be wonderful to see Judy Garrick in action. Nice to know that Betsy Ross is heiress to the heroic legacy of Miss America from DC Comics and I'm very curious to see how this should be developed. I'm curious to see what Cherry Bomb's protege relationship with Human Bomb how should it be? Very cool to know that Salem the Witch Girl will be the apprentice of Doctor Fate / Khalid Nassour. Let's see if she will prove to be a witch capable of surpassing her magic teacher ? Interesting to know that The Harlequin Son is Molly Mayne's son as this gives rise to countless stories involving tensions between him and Alan Scott. Interesting to hear of this news that Mister Terrific should also have a sidekick in the case Quiz Kid I hope he is an intelligence prodigy capable of easily surpassing Nightwing / Dick Grayson. Nice to know that Ladybug should be related to Red Bee I always thought he was a classic character who deserved a heiress of the heroic legacy. Perhaps in the case of Red Lantern they are looking to create a classic character linked to a Russian hero from the Golden Age to try to reverse the demonization that the Russians have been suffering since the Ukrainian War and create a Russian hero who does not passively condone or agree with the mands and abuses of the government of Russia. Now Legionnaire I would think it was fantastic if she happened to come from a cosmic future even further than the 31st century like the 41st Century from the Legion of Super-Heroes cartoon series coming from "After of Tomorrow". Or who knows why not a Legionnaire heir to The L.E.G.I.O.N. from the distant 51st century? Anyway, I'm really excited about the announcement of these thirteen new members of the Justice Society of America and I really hope that they can yield exciting and iconic sagas for the DC Universe and for the Justice Society of America which is one of my favorite super teams and for the which I wish you all the best.
