I don't know how reliable Inside Pulse is. But they are saying the JSA is a 12 issue series and not an ongoing as originally announced. So far that's the only place I have seen that reported.

Yes I had also heard that the JSA didn't actually return to the comics book titles it's just going to participate in a 12 issue miniseries it's sad that we won't really see the team back in full but rather little than nothing.

And at least we will be able to see again some characters from the Golden Age of comics as members of the JSA and feel a little of that sense of wonder that we felt when we read the comics of this team and saw one of the most emblematic groups of superheroes in the DC Universe.

Mere speculation at this point. In issue 4 of the Earth Prime Arrowverse tie-in series; Johns buddy and one of his writers on the Stargirl tv series James Robinson wrote the Stargirl main story. In the story he had some cameos of Golden Age heroes and their teen sidekicks. This included the first appearance of Cherry Bomb and the first appearance in decades as well as the first in a DC comic of Blue Beetle's sidekick Sparky.
One of the promo ads i saw for the Golden Age imprint was that the series would have a lot of "beetles, lanterns and doctors". Considering the friendship of Robinson and Johns its quite possible Robinson knows something we don't. It's quite possible Sparky is now part of DC continuity.

Power Girl and the Huntress are both back, which is certainly a selling point for me.

I find it interesting that they bring back the old sidekicks of the Golden Age heroes as members of the Justice Society of America if only in a brief appearance in this JSA story written by Geoff Johns. If it were possible for me to give my opinion on the young heroes I would like to see appear in history I would simply love to see Superlad / Lor-Zod / Christopher Kent and Superlass / Thara Ak-Var who are two fascinating characters that I do not conform to fate that they had in the comics book titles and that without a doubt deserved a new chance as the two official " Supers " of the Justice Society of America but unfortunately in this case I do not have an opinion on the wishes of the JSA writers in this miniseries .

Power Girl and Huntress are two very welcome returns to the original lineup of the Justice Society of America and I am truly delighted to hear that they will both participate in the story of Geoff Johns' miniseries.

It appears current DC canon now says Oliver and Roy went back in time to the 40s and were actually the Golden Age Green Arrow and Speedy. So no Earth Two unless Johns creates it at the end of his JSA run with issue 12.

I would very much like to see Green Arrow II / Connor Hawke and Speedy II / Mia Dearden as potential members of the Justice Society of America. Both are fascinating and very cool characters but terribly underrated by DC Comics writers who don't give them their deserved values.

I would also love to see Starman / Will Payton back in his role as the DC Universe's Starman or at least an Earth-2 counterpart to him. He was always one of the coolest heroes I can remember and I found his end in the comics very undignified.

Anyone reading the new series? Are you getting tired of all the time travel shenanigans Johns is writing or do you like it? Personally i hate it. A little excited to meet Diamond Jack, one of the Fawcett heroes DC hasn't used yet. They'll probably butcher him when he(?) finally appears on panel.

They may treat him better than he ended up here (Diamond Jack). I think his gem turned him evil here...

I think it would be really cool if by chance DC Comics used Diamond Jack and other forgotten heroes of Fawcett heroes like Captain Midnight , Master Man , Minute-Man and Phantom Eagle in the Justice Society of America miniseries but I think in that case the story would be very full of heroes, which would make it very difficult to write and work properly with all these characters.

Diamond Jack wasn't wasted, it is a very good story - and I believe a new legacy heroine came out of it. Been a while since I read it, though.
