Thus us inspired by the DC miniseries Future Quest, and is supposed to be a more fleshed-out idea for that world.
What if there was a world were all the Hanna Barbara cartoons were real? This world would have counterparts of the Fantastic Four (from the 1967 series) and many dc heroes as well (from the Super Friends series). But it would also have many other heroes, such as Birdman, Birdboy, Space Ghost, the Impossibles, the Galaxy Trio, Blue Falcon, Mighty Mightor, Captain Planet, the Radical Squadron, the Drac Pack, Captain Caveman, Atom Ant, and (in later years) the Justice Friends and the Powerfpuff Girls. Inter-Nation Security is an international police organization which also co-ordinates the actions of many heroes (similar to SHIELD).
Some historic divergences which can be inferred from the cartoons. There was no Iranian Revolution (since we see the Shah of Persia in cartoons in the late 1970s), and no Chinese civil war (possibly, in this world, Sun Yat-sen accepted his countries call the become the first president of China, thus preventing Yuan Shikai from establishing a dictatorship). John F. Kennedy may not have been assassinated, since Cape Kennedy is still called Cape Canaveral in 1978. The Soviet Union did not fall until much later, if at all (since Comrade Red is Russia's representative on the Association of World Supermen in 1999, my guess is that he may have done like Superman from "red Son" and seized power when things started to fall apart in the early 1990s).
Technology is far more advanced than in our world, since the first moon base was established in 1973, the first manned mission to Mars was sent in 1978 (both from the Super Friends), and the internet was developed in the late 1960s (based on the Real Adventures of Johnny Quest).
Circa 2008, Mandark took over the world with his Neutronic Protocore, and probably killed many of the world's heroes. He was finally overthrown about 10 years later by Dexter, who then created a global technologic utopia. This is the sci-fi future of Sealab 2020. By the 2060s, this era is also called Dextopia, and the ageing Dexter is still honored as the greatest citizen on Earth, though due to his senility, he has little to do with running global affairs anymore. This is the era of the Jetsons. By the year 2200, technology seems to have leveled off, since the world of the Partridge family is not noticeably different from the world of the Jetsons.

Cool your idea of an Earth of the Multiverse based on the superheroes and superheroines of Hanna-Barbera in this case there is room for a wide range of heroes and heroines that could be inspired by the characters of Hanna-Barbera. Obvious choices would be: Birdman, Space Ghost, Mighty Mightor, Young Samson and Goliath, Galaxy Trio, Teen Force, The Impossibles, The Herculoids, Thundarr the Barbarian Shazzan, Arabian Knights (let's assume that these two series were sequels that take place in the present and show the adventures of the Giant Genie protector of a couple of Arab teenagers and his mount a Magic Winged Camel living adventures in a magical Arab world beyond the adventures of the super team of Arab heroes protectors of the peoples of the Middle East) Godzilla (of Hanna-Barbera who would still be portrayed as a "protector of the humanity" and the only defense against other kaiju not as a "destroying cosmic power" that protects us and fights against other monsters only because it's for your convenience ) www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTItRfN-LO8 Jana of the Jungle , Dino Boy , Valley of the Dinosaurs , The Blue Falcon & Dynomutt Dog Wonder Moby Dick (a series that achieved the feat of transforming the greatest villain in Herman's Melville history the White Sperm Whale Moby Dick into a hero, let's assume this new White Whale is an heroic heir of Moby Dick and in this case a Kaiju Whale to be able to compete with Godzilla in power if they clash) , Jonny Quest , Sealab 2091 (let's go set the story in the more distant future with things like human beings genetically altered to breathe in sea water in the case of "Homo aquaticus" computers capable of translating the words of whales and dolphins in the form of vocal decoders , hypersonic submarines and others things to make Sealab crew's adventures more exciting) Challenge of the GoBots (think of Transformers only with the difference that instead of robots they would be beings with organic brains that evolved into giant mechanical transmorph cyborgs and these would be the GoBots) The Drac Pack (imagine a group of teenage hero monsters in the same style as "The Creature Commandos" led by a centuries-old recluse Count Vlad Dracula a long time sorry for his existence of mortal sins and seeking redemption for the evils of your eternal non-life who managed, together with the greats The Powers That Be Above, to give special supernatural powers of a sacred nature to a group of monster teenagers gathered to redeem the past evil deeds of him and other legendary monsters like the Werewolf the Frankenstein Monster and The Demon Sleepwalker. Drak Jr. a Teenage Boy Vampire Daywalker supernatural mystical scythe against the forces of darkness in the same style as Blade from Marvel Comics, Howler a Teenage Werewolf capable of transforming into his bestial form when he desires without needing the Full Moon in the sky and who controls his inner beast , Frank Stronger a Teenage Young Boy version of Frankenstein's Monster the army of a unique monster and "war tank monster" that replaces parts of its body with heavy weaponry , Catline a teenage girl demon cat sleepwalking similar to a much more animalistic version of " Felicia " from the video game " Darkstalkers " owner of powers that allow her to steal the vital breath from the souls of mortals that she can obviously control and suppress only using them as a last resort Beyond of transmorphic abilities to assume a "human feline" form ["ThunderCats" style] and a "giant feline beast monster female form" and The Enchanted a witch of light belonging to a millenary lineage of female white sorceresses who joined the group of young monsters out of sympathy with their pure motivation and who grants the power of white magic to the Drac Pack . Together they fight the evil Doctor Dread and his evil organization O.G.R.E. short for "The Organization of Greatest Radicalities Enemies" and its demonic members formed by new, much more powerful versions of monsters like Bullywug an amphibious abomination similar to but much deadlier than Toad of The Brotherhood of Mutants of the Marvel Comics Universe , The Black Ocean Freak a deadlier version of the Black Lagoon Monster from the depths of the oceans ,The Humanoid Glob a shapeshifter ectoplasmic aberration capable of absorbing living beings similar to a sapient version of the monstrosity from the movie "The Blob", The Pharaoh Mummy the muscles of the O.G.R.E. in the form of a cursed and super powerful mummy giant of a pharaoh of egypt , The Human Fly an insectoid winged abomination similar to the creature from the movie " The Fly " , The Hag a monstrous witch demonic practitioner of the obscure arts of dark magic that proves the O.G.R.E. with mystical powers, and Lady Succubi a demonic half-demon succubus and the members of the Drac Pack fight a relentless battle using their powers of benign creatures of the night bestowed on them by Count Vlad Dracula with the consent of the greats The Powers That Be Above who acts as the group's mentor to bring light to the darkness) The Fabulous Four (Earth Hanna-Barbera's version of the Fantastic Four formed by Magnesian / Vincent Venture the team leader a scientific super genius who had his organism mutagenically altered by cosmic radiation gaining magnetic super powers, Duplicity / Sharon O'Toole a young Irish redhead woman she has the exact same powers of Beast Boy of DC Comics, being able to assume the form of any animal, reptile, insect, bird, fish, amphibian, etc. She can also take on the form of creatures that have existed in the past like extinct animals, prehistoric animals, dinosaurs, as well as mythological creatures of several different cultures. These include, but are not limited to: dragons, satyrs, centaurs, minotaurs, griffins, winged horses, unicorns, hydras, lizardmen, sphinxes, basilisks, lycanthropes [of several different species], hellhounds, chimeras, and alien animals or any form of animal life that she is able to conceive. She is a beastmorph, one of the most powerful shapeshifters in the Earth Hanna-Barbera, capable of perfectly duplicating any power, natural ability, special sense, or natural weaponry that the animal form she assumes possesses. In addition, she is very hard to injure physically since whenever she is injured, she mimics the abilities of some animal with incredible healing abilities, such as salamanders. She can survive for weeks without food and water and is immune to poisons and diseases. Duplicity is capable of temporarily enhancing her strength to super-human levels, mimicking the strength of animals such as gorillas or elephants, and is able to lift twenty tons. Duplicity is also capable of flight at speeds of around 40 mph mimicking the ability of birds to fly. Additionally, she seems capable of flying psionically, similarly to the power of Animal Man, Blaze / Andie Stephenson whose body can become an inferno of nuclear plasma energy form, The Gray / Bellisario Martinez a massively muscular man veteran military hero member of the Marine Corps with mutagenically altered organism after being irradiated by cosmic radiation with gray skin the team's gross mass a super strong Titan of over 2.90 m in height and 900 kg in weight owner of super strength and invulnerability comparable to The Thing they would together face threats similar to the ones the Fantastic Four faced in their cartoon series as Doctor Moros [In Greek mythology, Moros /ˈmɔːrɒs/ or Morus /ˈmɔːrəs is the 'hateful' personified spirit of impending doom, who drives mortals to their deadly] the equivalent of Doctor Doom sworn enemy of Magnesian, Burstaar counterpart of the Earth Hanna-Barbera of Blastaar , Ángel negro equivalent of the millennial villain Alchemist Diablo bearer of the Dark Philosophical Stone , Professor Molecular counterpart of the Earth Hanna-Barbera to the villain Molecule Man , Super-Scryllorians equivalent of the Super-Skrull belonging to a race of alien shapeshifters native to the Andromeda galaxy who form a stellar empire of thousands of worlds known as Scryllorians which would be equivalent to the Skrulls of Marvel who would possess the combined powers of all members of The Fabulous Four beyond the shapeshifting power of the Scryllorians the power to fly at hypersonic speeds, telepathy, telekinesis and the ability to project blasts of cosmic energy from hands beyond dominating minds , Crimson Phantom and his Super Animals a Russian scientist who has the power of biogenetic adaptation translating the ability of it to develop in response when confronted by some super power an equivalent opposing super power and a group of three animals altered by cosmic radiation who are a Kodiak Bear with vast superhuman strength and invulnerability comparable to that of the The Gray , a Lemur with telekinetic powers and a Black Panther able to become invisible and with a sonic roar , Reef Giant counterpart of the Earth Hanna-Barbera of the Attuma , Universicus equivalent of the Earth Hanna-Barbera of Galactus , Sonic Claw counterpart of Klaw , Doctor Gerard Gamma / Marine Demon an insane scientist mutated after exposing himself to radiation from the explosion of a Gamma Bomb in the depths of the ocean into a beastly giant amphibious creature possessing superhuman strength capable of surpassing even Gray , Shutek-Sharur a Pharaoh of ancient Egypt in reality a time traveler from the 81st century who used the technology of the future to rule with an iron fist equivalent to Rama-Tut, Subterranean Man equivalent of Mole Man that would be valiantly faced by The Fabulous Four like Earth Hanna-Barbera's "Fabulous First Family of World Heroes" ) Galtar and the Golden Lance , Captain Planet and the Planeteers , SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron , Wildfire (think "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Chronicles of Narnia" in which the main protagonist is a big stallion red-maned like fire and a fated girl to become nothing less than the Queen of an extradimensional magical world parallel to Earth called Dar-Shan and this is the plot of Wildfire) , Samurai Jack , Primal among other series that would be fantastic as themes of adventures of an Earth Hanna-Barbera.

very cool... I think there would need to be some kind of timeline, at least indicating in this Earth's calendar when each of these characters debuts and maybe indicating high points in their careers so writers could properly target their stories - but that could develop over time. I've actually been interested in writing some Space Ghost stories - I was sort of planning for John Jarl to become a character very like Space Ghost in the one John Jarl story I wrote. So I'd be interested in knowing his time frame in reference to the rest of Earth HB. Some of the other characters are interesting too, and it would be cool to have some stories about them... and then maybe we could even have some kind of crossovers...

Okay, so that would mean that there were anthropomorphic animals walking around and talking. And if the Super Friends existed in this timeline, then that means that all of the more embarrassing aspects of that particular television show would be au courant as well. So, perhaps, no DC heroes should be around, but the other HB heroes might be able to form their own heroic team without them. I like the idea of quirks in this particular alternate history, though. So the Flintstones and Jetsons would actually exist on this Earth?

My suggestion would be, if we want to approach this as a group, is that there be a period for submissions - which characters should be allowed in this new universe - and then a voting period for all the submitted candidates, and then the list of elected characters posted. But, if there are any writers who want to write about these characters in whatever milieu the writer wants, go for it and don't wait for the group!

Er, would that mean that Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law or Birdgirl were in Earth-HB continuity?

I think if by chance the Flintstones and the Jetsons exist in this Earth Hanna-Barbera they should be the more serious and adult versions of these characters from the 2016 comics of The Flintstones written by Mark Russell and drawn by Steve Pugh and in the case of the Jetsons the comics from 2017 written by Jimmy Palmiotti and drawn by Pier Brito that have a very adult theme!

I think we should focus on the fanfictions of a probable Earth Hanna-Barbera from the Multiverse DC in the superhero series of this universe that make this Earth unique and with a very own and particular theme.

Er, would that mean that Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law or Birdgirl were in Earth-HB continuity? I honestly hope not. Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law and Space Ghost Coast to Coast were two series that almost ruined the good memories I have with these characters and I sincerely prefer to forget them.

I agree that it would be nice to have a timeline with some chronology if we are going to make a project out of it. But who has the time or the resources to review all the cartoons involved? Who has the knowledge to be the continuity cops? I would suggest only a very broad timeline - with a date for the debut of each character, with a link to that character's bio elsewhere on the interweb (there must be online bios of all these characters somewhere!) so authors can pretty much write their own stories within really broad guidelines (like you can't give Birdman earth-elemental powers, or Multi-man doesn't have Kryptonian powers...)
And our continuity guidelines should be very vague with respect to the TV appearances, but less vague with respect to their 5EP appearances, maybe something like: '...it doesn't matter if you violate TV continuity, but you have to be careful about contradicting other stories already published here...'
That way, the timeline can be filled in eventually as we populate this universe. And anyone who wanted to add an existing cartoon adventure to that timeline could suggest where it fits, and maybe provide a synopsis to guide future authors about events in that episode...

Yes I also think that we should create a story line that could serve as a basis for writers who wish to write fanfics set in Earth Hanna-Barbera but I think it would be more appropriate to select themes and thematic for each of the heroes and heroines of this Earth of Multiverse DC. For example what would differentiate the Superman of the Super Friends from the Superman of Earth Prime or characters like Birdman, Space Ghost, Young Samson and Goliath, Mighty Mightor, The Impossibles, Frankenstein Jr. , Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Incorporated , Josie and the Pussycats and other characters ? And what would be the secret identities of these heroes ? What would their private lives be like when they're not having adventures and fighting evil ? Who would be your relatives and friends ? There are a lot of things we can build in terms of background for Earth Hanna-Barbera !

BTW, all my suggestions are just suggestions. If we decide to as a group adopt Earth HB the guidelines would be created by the group, not me!
