And so- my fifth and final vignette of the Glorious People's Vanguard is now complete. This one deals with Colonel Sung-Ho Yun, otherwise known as the Red Crusher. How did he embark upon his path, how and why did he develop such innovative technological wonder weapons during the later phases of the Korean War and what did happen to him, the sole survivor of the "Glorious People's Vanguard", after the end of the Korean War? 5earths.proboards.com/thread/2028/glorious-peoples-vanguard-leudeu-kueleosyeo

I've discovered that there was a possible 'sixth' Marvel Family North Korean metahuman adversary, the "Mongol Monster." Rather than have him confront the Marvel Family separately, I'm going to fold him into Mile High Mightiest Mong and write his earlier encounter with Captain Marvel Jr into that story. There. Finished. "Monsuteo" Mong has now been explained away as the first recorded appearance of Mail Hai Choegong-Ui Mong, given a spurious 'separate existence' due to a transliteration error when these Marvel Family encounters were first recorded. He only looks different and doesn't display his height related abilities due to the emphasis on giant fireball bombardment within that story and non-manifestation of his abilities and injuries sustained at the end of that encounter caused him to undergo plastic surgery: dc.fandom.com/wiki/Captain_Marvel_Jr,_Vol_1_115 dc.fandom.com/wiki/Mongol_Monster_(Earth-S)

It's an interesting thought, but unfortunately I'm readapting a series of original 1950s stories from Marvel Family Titles and I'm afraid none of them had South Korean metahuman characters on the Marvel Family's side during episodes set during the Korean War. Still, it's probably certainly the case that during the Cold War, there probably would have been a metahuman component to the Cold War Korean peninsula conflict. It'd be interesting to see what might have occurred afterward, given the presence of several metahuman wartime threats to the territorial integrity and security of South Korea. This is sad, I would really love it if by chance there were on Earth-S both a super group of South Korean heroes and a team of international superheroes counterparts to the Global Guardians formed by homologs from the Earth of the Universe of the Marvel Family like : Seraph, Bushmaster, Olympian, Jack O'Lantern, Impala, The Little Mermaid, Doctor Mist, Tasmanian Devil, Rising Sun, Owlwoman, Thunderlord, Tuatara, Godiva, Wild Huntsman, Fire, Ice, Red Star, Cascade, Centrix, Fleur-de-Lis, but in this case we have to be realistic, there are no characters like that officially existing under public domain to be used and simply creating original creations characters, wouldn't be fair, so unfortunately we can't think of a team of superheroes from South Korea that would exist to balance power with The Glorious People's Vanguard nor with a super-group of international heroes from Earth-S counterparts to the Global Guardians. But I would really love to see heirs to the legacy of the North Korean heroes of Earth-S / Earth-5 in the current times of 1988.
