About Earth-53 I really did not expect this but it's an interesting proposal from a certain point of view ... A "Planet Earth of the Apes" with super beings apes as a Superman Gorilla version called " Titano", an amphibian simian analogous to Aquaman King of an Underwater Monkey Empire of Atlantis, a simian analogue of Wonder Woman Demigoddess Gorilla belonging to a race of Amazons simian invested with the powers of the Gods Monkeys of Olympus, a Chimpanzee equivalent to Batman genius crime fighter, a super speedster monkey counterpart of Flash, an alien similoid of Planet Mars, counterpart of Martian Manhunter, simian equivalents of Green Lanterns (Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Guy Gardner, Kyle Rayner, Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz) a couple of Winged Gorillas type this from here belonging to a race of, Warlords of an Empire of Winged Gorillas, native to Planet Thanagar, counterparts to Hawkman and Hawkwoman, a diminutive Mouse Lemur homologous of this universe of The Atom, a young Cub of Gorilla who when he pronounces the magic word "Shazam!" receives the powers of the monkey gods conferred upon him by simian magician Shazam, "Simia magi" equivalents of "Homo magi" the race of human manipulators of the magical powers of the DC Universe formed by simian counterparts of Doctor Fate and Zatanna Zatara, a Cybernetically enhanced Gorilla with cyborg implants in the body equivalent to Cyborg / Victor Stone, an official monkey of the simian army with Quantum powers equivalent of Captain Atom, two monkeys capable of atomically merging into a single being equivalent of Firestorm, a crime fighter female simian able to emit a scream Hypersonic counterpart of Black Canary, a skillful monkey master archer equivalent of the Green Arrow and so on ... Will you understand that? The Americans are simply crazy about Apes adrift mainly Gorillas, Orangutans, Chimpanzees and Baboons there is the movie "Planet of the Apes" that will not let me lie so I think a "Earth of the Apes" equal to "Earth-53" makes more sense that an "Earth Beast" inhabited by male and female beasts counterparts of super heroes and super heroines and super villains, male and female of different animal species.

I have a soft spot for Earth-C/26, although you're right, Kaiser... like Earth-53, there are probably other single-species alternate Earths in the multiverse. And I like the idea of Earth-53 too, for that matter and your idea of the "Justice Simians of America" (although Mars-53's Martian Apehunter needn't be an ape per se, given that Martians are shapeshifters, J'onn-53 could simply morph into a simioid form).

Very interesting your idea of the "Justice League composed of Apes owners of superhuman powers and abilities" equal to their "Justice Simians of America" I think that if this idea is well worked it can give rise to a fascinating Earth of Multiverse DC with super-apes superheroes and super-villains unique and completely unexpected.Type could also exist apes versions of: Elongated Man, Plastic Man, Red Tornado (an android ape elementalist of air), Starfire (a simian alien of the Planet Tamaran),Raven (a young simian girl daughter of the Demon Ape Trigon),Beast-Ape (a young simian green boy able to take on the form of any animal),Animal Ape (Ape version of Animal Man capable of accessing the power of the morphogenetic field colloquially known as "The Red" the collective essence of all animal life forms that exist, have existed or will still exist and utilize the powers of any form of existing animal life)versions simians of : Nightwing , Red Robin , Robin (Damian Wayne), Batgirl (Barbara Gordon) , Batwoman (Kate Kane),Huntress (Helena Bertinelli ) , Catwoman (Selina Kyle) etc . At last the Earth-53 can turn out to be a fascinating world for the heroes protectors of apekind.

I've been giving some thought to how Earth-53 might have diverged from the rest of the multiverse and produced sapient apes. I think the answer could be here. In 70,000 BCE, Sumatra's Toba supervolcano went up and almost wiped out the human species, which had been struggling along up until that point. With some added volcanic atmospheric debris and intensified global cooling as a result, let's say Toba does result in human extinction and that chimpanzees, gorillas, orangutans, lemurs, marmosets and other simian species start to develop tools and opposable thumbed hands as a result. Of course, there might be some divergences from our own Earth in terms of geographic distribution and concentration, with nothing like human Earth nations arising. So... Africa is dominated by gorillas, Western Europe is dominated by chimpanzees, who spread into Russia, Central Asia and North America, while orangutans spread from Indonesia to dominate India, China, Southeast Asia and Australia. Africa is politically unified and host to some ancient pacifistic gorilla civilisations, while the chimpanzee nations are more aggressive and the orangutans more conservative. With fewer political divisions and warfare, political and social change happened far more quickly than on our Earth or other human-dominated Earths: www.npr.org/sections/krulwich/2012/10/22/163397584/how-human-beings-almost-vanished-from-earth-in-70-000-b-c(Perhaps contract "Justice Simians of America" to "Justice Simians", given that codicil). Although, granted, there is some controversy about the actual effects of the Toba supervolcano. It serves quite well as a deus ex machina, so let's use it regardless: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toba_catastrophe_theory

It could make the Ape Earth scenario very rich and fascinating to be explored even more if Ape Earth apes own the same super-technology much more advanced than the human technology dominated by Gorilla-City's apes on a world scale. And it would be interesting that besides, from Gorillas, Chimpanzees, Baboons, Orangutans, Lemurs the species apes that dominated the Ape Earth were very varied as for example those that appear in the film Planet of the Apes of 2001 of Tim Burton . I really would love to see apes versions of the Justice League forming the Justice Simians of Earth with simian versions of : Superman , Superboy , Supergirl , Martian Manhunter , Miss Martian , Green Lanterns ( Hal Jordan , John Stewart , Guy Gardner , Kyle Rayner , Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz ) , Flash , Kid Flash , Aquaman , Cyborg , Wonder Woman , Captain Marvel , Captain Atom , Firestorm , The Atom , Elongated Man , Plastic Man , Doctor Fate , Zatanna , Etrigan the Demon (perhaps in this Earth of Multiverse DC Etrigan be a " Demon Ape" Angazhan that speaks rhyming, half-brother of the Simian Mage Merlinus Ambrosius), Swamp-Thing , Black Orchid , Animal Man , Deadman , John Constantine , Vixen , Hawkman , Hawkwoman , Green Arrow , Black Canary , Huntress , Batman , Batgirl , Batwoman , Nightwing , Red Robin , Robin among many other Earth-1 superheroes I'd like to see in versions apes. Without doubt I would love to see a version of Ape Earth in a fanfic of the DC 5 Earths forum.

I think that could be one reason that Earth-One's Gorilla City is so technologically advanced- that the gorilla inhabitants are ardent pacifists, have developed non-violent combat resolution techniques to a fine art, and with the absence of negative social interactions have been able to become an enclave of peace and prosperity. Generalise that to a planetary scale as with Earth-53 and you have the potential for a Justice Simians of Earth as you describe it. Perhaps in Earth-53's universe, humanoids often fail to pass the threshold for cataclysmic events and are replaced by simian successor species. Assuming this happened on Krypton-53 as well, Tita-No's parents would have sent their child to Earth-53 because they saw it as technologically advanced and peaceful. Martian Apehunter would assume that form because he's a metamorph, as would Ms Martian. The Green Lantern Corps is multispecies anyway, so there'd be no problem there. We already have equivalents for Superman (Titano), Aquaman (Sea Ape), Batman (Batape/Detective Chimp) and the Atom (a Lemur physicist equivalent to Ray Palmer's scientific expertise). There's no reason why demons have to be humanoid, so perhaps Earth-53's Etrigan could be simianoid instead. It'd be interesting to see Animal Man and Vixen's abilities on Earth-53, where simians are the dominant species.

Exactly as I think I imagine that probably an Earth from the DC Multiverse where the dominant race would be the apes could also mean that as they learned to survive on a global scale they developed a more combat-oriented technology like Planet of the Apes's television cartoon series "Return to the Planet of the Apes "in which apes mastered advanced technology (though not as much as that of humans' Earth), I imagine that Ape Earth apes may have developed an equally advanced technology than that of Gorilla-City but with a greater emphasis on militarism. Or maybe as you said in the case of Superman's Ape Counterpart, the Giant Gorilla Titano actually sent their son Tita-No to Ape Earth because they saw that it was a scientifically and culturally evolved people and felt safe that little Tita-No would be good received. Either that or Lex Luthor would have a simian counterpart like most of Earth-1's biggest villains: Brainiac , Bizarro, Parasite, Mongul, Mongal , Despero, Ma'alefa'ak J'onzz / Malefic , Sinestro / Parallax, Doomsday, Major Force, Lion-mane (which in this Earth of the Multiverse would probably be a Gorillion), Cheetah ( Doctor Barbara Minerva same case of Lion-mane a villain hybrid Cheetah Ape) , Deathstroke, Ares, Circe, Poison Ivy, Gorilla Grodd (here I wonder what Gorilla Grodd's counterpart might be? If Grodd is a Gorilla sapient in a human world what would his Ape Earth counterpart be? A "Human more powerful than the humans of Earth-1" derived from a society of super-evolved human exact opposites of Gorilla-City in an eventual "Human-City"?), Killer Croc, Bane , Ra's al Ghul, Morgaine Le Fey, General Zod , Ursa and Non, Cyborg Superman, Kalibak , Grayven , Lashina , Stompa ,Mad Harriet, Granny Goodness, Virman Vundabar , Kanto , Mantis , Rampage , Blockbuster , Cyborgirl / LeTonya Charles , Goldface , Match , Livewire, Killer Frost, Vandal Savage , Scandal Savage , Lady Shiva, Dr. Light (Arthur Light), King Shark, Black Manta, Bizarro Supergirl , Joker, Two-Face, Clayface , Giganta, Doctor Polaris, Ultra-Humanite (same case of Gorilla Grodd would he happen to be a sapient Ape who transferred his brain to the body of an evolved human?), Solomon Grundy, Kryptonite Man, Atomic Skull, Shadow-Thief, Prometheus, Star Sapphire ( Carol Ferris ) , Shade, Copperhead, Riddler , Fernus, Toyman, Harley Quinn, Ocean Master, Silver Banshee, Felix Faust, Lady Tala, Reverse-Flash (Professor Zoom) among others. I wonder if there is a simian counterpart to Wonder Woman it must be an Amazon simian in the same style as Primat with the difference that she would have received divine powers from the Goddesses apes of the Simiolympus formed by counterparts apes of the Gods of Olympus.

Hey, how's this for an idea? Wonder Ape is actually a bonobo, a matrilineal and peaceful species of simian- so let's say the Bonobo Amazons got tired of chimpanzee hell raising in their European areas and debunked to their own simian version of Themiscyra. As for the violence angle, chimpanzees appear to be more so than gorillas and orangutans, so while their domains would be militaristic and aggressive, the same couldn't be said for gorillas and orangutans. Planet of the Apes got that badly mangled, making gorillas the chief source of militarism on that world while chimpanzees were all sweetness and light. Nope. Not the case at all. Gorilla Continent might be technologically advanced, peaceful, and maintain a forcescreen barrier to keep the more aggressive elements to the north out of Africa. As for the Grodd parallel, he or she wouldn't necessarily have to be a human; they might well belong to another animal species. Let's say the simian Flash has encountered Leo City, consisting of evolved bipedal felinoids descended from lions, and they're the source of Leonid Grydd. In my version of Earth-53, which hinges on the Toba supervolcano 'extinction event,' apes evolved opposable thumbs and the use of tools after the human species went extinct due to a centuries long global ice age due to atmospheric debris and smoke around 70,000 BCE. So, no Terran humanoids exist. Mind you, it is an alternate universe, which provides room for the metasimians good or ill that you've described. Lemuria might be a more significant lost continent on Earth-53 because it might have assisted the spread of that simian species, although I see Sea Ape (Earth-53's Simian Aquaman analogue) seems to be a gorilla too. Bat Ape (a chimpanzee) seems to be the only non-gorilla amongst the "Justice Simians" we've seen to date, apart from the Lemur Atom. That may imply that gorillas dominate Earth-53, although we have yet to see the other potential members of the "Justice Simians.' If there's historically been bad blood between the gorilla and chimpanzee nations on Earth-53, then that may need to be reflected in the Justice Simian composition, although how lemurs, orangutans, marmosets and other simian species would figure into that matrix is a moot point.

Excellent ideas really, you have great creativity as a storyteller and have great ideas for fanfics . I agree with your statements about the particularities of Ape Earth especially the matriarchal society of Chimpanzees Amazons . I loved your idea of Leo City from the super-evolved Lions and Leonid Grydd the counterpart to the universe of the Ape Earth from Gorilla Grodd. Actually all this can yield a very rich and vast material to be worked by an eventual writer of fanfics who wishes to make a fanfiction using the Ape Earth.
