Of course there are possible reasons. The Star Rovers came because, well... they ARE Star Rovers and that's what rovers do. And they left because, well... Rovers... and the priceless antique statue was no doubt stolen, perhaps by the stall owner. I have to know something about those details to write the story. But I can leave them out of the story, making it easier to read and allowing readers to use their imaginations, and as Doc points out, if it is a good enough story, 50 years from now someone else can write another story and fill in all the missing details.

Here is my entry in my own challenge - the untold origin of Master Mystic! The Origin of Master MysticIf anyone is interested in writing their own Master Mystic stories using this new origin, please feel free. I don't know how to officially donate a character to Public Domain, but this origin is written specifically to be Public Domain; I don't claim copyright on anything in this story.

One golden age hero that I really like is Man o' Metal, specifically for the fact that he was drawn by H.G. Peters, co-creator of Wonder Woman. I've read quite a few of his stories already, with the idea of eventually using him (or a character inspired by him) for a story.

I've read a bit about Man O'Metal. Interesting concept, and a pretty unique combination of powers and abilities. There isn't anybody really like him in our universes...
