“This is Bob “The Monitor of Earth 12” Hope coming to you across the Multiverse! Obviously, Earth 12 survived the Crisis or as I like the call it …the Cosmic Crosby marathon. Things are looking just fine here. My nephew Tad finally stopped that whole Super Hip nonsense although considering my age I’m thinking about becoming a character called Super Hip Replacement. Yeah, the boy took a long time to find himself. That might be because I was always telling him to get lost! But seriously, he now works as an account in Cleveland. Cleveland did survive the Crisis didn’t it? Nobody really knows for sure. As for me, the budgets for my films kept shrinking faster than my waistline was growing. I used to do flicks like “Road to Hong Kong” but they won’t even offer me “Road to Burbank” these days! So, I retired and devoted myself to something restful like golf. Thing is one day I was in the clubhouse getting my gear when I found a very wacky golf glove. It was studded with jewels and I never even knew the Gabor Sisters played golf! I slipped it on and gained what the kids used to call Cosmic Awareness! The glove fell to Earth from space and was some kind of Infinite Gauntlet. It didn’t match my belt so I started to ditch it when I had a vision in Paramount Technacolor no less. I was meant to observe and keep things in order on Earth 12. Why modest, shy little me? I don’t know. I can only assume I was picked ‘cause Jerry Lewis was busy! I like the job. It seems like it makes me feel young again! There’s a lot to do though. It’s not easy. Have you ever tried to watch Binky and his Buddies? It takes all my strength to stay awake. Actually I can’t tell Binky and Scooter apart but don’t tell the other Monitors! Then there are those super kids who love fabric samples and color schemes. The Interior Five? Great bunch of designers. “

Who is Earth-C’s Monitor? Nutsy Squirrel?

Not a bad choice!

It’s actually not a bad choice, since Nutsy already appears to have reality bending powers. His ignorance about the limits of physics allows him to accomplish impossible feats, more than most other funny animals. Dunbar Dodo as well.

So does that mean Bing Crosby is the Anti-Monitor of Earth-12? That would be fun...

Or Martha Raye is Auntie Monitor.

There probably needs to be a role for Dean Martin in it somewhere too. He's probably rather annoyed that Jerry Lewis took over the comic book they formerly jointly starred in and wants to avenge himself on Jerry because of it. So, if Bing Crosby is the Anti-Monitor, then Deano is ...the Hairbrainer? Guestsinger?

Who is Earth-C’s Monitor? Nutsy Squirrel? I kind of like the bit from Marvel's Mighty Mouse comic of the Minotaur (the first anthropromorphic animal totem) battling the Anti-Minotaur. And while he isn't DC- their use of Supermouse (the first version of Mighty Mouse as the Golden Age Superman who ends their Crisis would be perfect for Earth C. Maybe use the Terrific Whatzit instead.

As well as the Terrific Whatzit, were there any other Golden Age anthropomorphic superheroes around on Earth-C?

The Red-Hen Tornado (Ma Henkle) exists on Earth-C in the golden age, too. An alternate version of Dunbar Dodo was Superdodo.
If I were to pick a funny animal super-hero to be Earth-C's Monitor, I'd rather go with Super-Turtle. There's just too much story left for McSnurtle the Turtle than to designate him in such a role.

I didn't mean to make McSnurtle the Monitor. I was saying to make him the Golden Age hero who is the last one standing to take down the Anti-Minotaur in the Earth-C/C- Crisis
