In another post (which I was unsuccessful in locating), it was mentioned that there were two women who went by the name Cinnamon. Since I am trying to tame the 5 Earth's wild west, I figured I would see if someone could point me toward an answer. I have found the original and DC has the newer version set in their present day, but that's it. If the west only has one, that's fine, but if there were two women claiming the name, well, I have a story idea for that.

Thanks, Dan. I saw this, but for some reason, I was thinking there was a second Cinnamon running around the old west.

This is the problem with Cinnamon in a nutshell (forget about the modern-day Cinnamon -- she's Post-Crisis and doesn't count).
In her original stories in Weird Western Tales (there were only 2), she was a young woman avenging her murdered sheriff father in the year 1898, specifically at the end of the 19th century (even Who's Who acknowledges this with this: "Base of Operations: The American West, circa 1898"). We know she was a young woman, because in the stories themselves she has a flashback to 10 years ago (or 1888) when she was just a girl.
Then Gerry Conway wanted to use her in an Old West tale in JLA, I think Justice League of America #198-199. Now, this story was specifically set in 1878, which is 20 years earlier than Cinnamon's first appearance as a young woman!!!
Now, BOTH stories are in continuity, but DC has never acknowledged the huge continuity mess that they created in having Cinnamon appear in a story 20 years earlier than possible. I sometimes think I'm the only one who has ever noticed it. But anyways, we still have no explanation for the continuity discrepancy, but there are a few options:
1. It's just one Cinnamon, and time travel was involved behind the scenes, which is reasonable, given the Lord of Time's involvement in that JLA Old West story in JLA #198-199, but the hows or whys are unknown -- we would have to write a tale to fix it.
2. There are two Cinnamons, and the 1898 Cinnamon is named after the 1878 Cinnamon, or perhaps the 1898 Cinnamon took her name after the 1878 Cinnamon. Neither Cinnamon's real/full name were never revealed Pre-Crisis. We would also have to write this tale to clear this up for the readers and establish the two Cinnamons as separate characters.
3. Other ideas? Maybe the Earth-2 Cinnamon ended up on Earth-1. In the 20th century there was a roughly 20-year gap between heroes (well, in the compressed timeline it was more than 20 years, but let's not quibble), so why not the 19th century in very rare cases? This could make for a fun tale, actually, and would fit in with the "Weird Western" theme that mixes horror and sci-fi with westerns.

There will be two women using the name and I can explain why. Thanks, Doc

Was there ever a modern day (1980's) version who was playing the Western version in a movie or doing stunts for such a movie but in some manner assumed the historical woman's personality? I don't know if I read that or literally made it up for a possible story?

It could be fun if the two Cinnamons were related. Mother and daughter or aunt and niece.

We would like to thank you all over again for the stunning ideas you gave Jesse when preparing a post-graduate research in addition to, most importantly, with regard to providing many of the ideas in a blog post. If we had been aware of your website a year ago, i'd have been kept from the needless measures we were having to take. Thanks to you. toys for adults
