I am participating in a fund raising bike ride in July. Would this be an appropriate place to post a link to my fund-raising web page? It's a good cause but don't want to post any further details, and I'll ask Doc to delete the thread if folks feel it is inappropriate. Thanks!

I think it should be fine.
I actually have a similar question for the group. I was thinking of posting a link to help with costs for the website. Would anyone have an issue with that?

And I will feel guilty for not giving financial support.

And I will feel guilty for not giving financial support. That is absolutely what we do not want you to feel!

If any regular members undertaker charitable events, I see nothing wrong with them sharing a link to the event. We will just need to watch the "members" who only join for the purpose of posting links.

My team, the Flamingos, raised over $22,000 this year to support the Dartmouth Cancer Center, which provides services to patients. It was the 12th year the Flamingos rode in the Prouty, and my 9th ride as a member of the team. Thanks to everyone for your support!
