This is a DC movie done right. There are some liberties taken with the story, such as it being set in WWI instead of WWII. Overall, though, Gal Gadot presents Wonder Woman as a truly inspirational hero
There are some big fist-pumping moments where you really feel like cheering. Some fans have said this is the best DC movie since The Dark Knight. I'd say it's the most inspiring since Reeve's Superman.

I was hoping it would be a good movie. The wife and I are planning to see this on our next date night, which are few and far between these days.

My wife had to go to Brazil this week for work and I worked all weekend at the library, so we likely will not see it until next weekend.

From what I've seen, I agree. They did a great job of capturing the original spirit of Wonder Woman. It is a surprise, since DC usually does terrible in live action.

It was unique to see a hero in this cinematic universe who is idealistic instead of alienated or broken, too.

It still boggles my mind that the only promotions I've seen connected to this are Think Thin diet bars. This movie made nearly 300 million on its opening weekend and there are almost no tie ins.
