Was WHIZ part of a national network? Totally minor detail, but the kind of thing I like to stick into stories for continuity. i'm planning to use a national network in one of my upcoming stories and if it could be the same as the one WHIZ is part of, that would be fun for me.

I doubt that has ever been mentioned, but there's no reason it couldn't be.

In the 40's a lot of radio stations just sent out specific programs that originated on one station. Superman radio program comes to mind with that. Billy Batson became aa national radio star, so his show was sent across the country. WHIZ either was part of a network, or sent Billy's show out on independent syndicated stations. There were a lot of independent radio/TV stations throughout the 1980's Dave

So, it was or it wasn't... I didn't plan to name the WHIZ station in any case, I just wanted to use the existing network if we knew what it is. Thanks

Yes, it was part of a network: the Amalgamated Broadcasting System (established in the first Captain Marvel story in WHIZ COMICS #2, IIRC).
