Al Pratt was once a college professor, I think. Is he still (in 1988/89 on Earth 2)? Are there any other college professor characters active on Earth 2 in the present?

Are there any characters on Earth 2 who are crusaders against corrupt institutions, who might go out of their way to investigate charities misusing donations or corporations which operate unethically but within the letter of the law? Is there any city where corrupt institutions might choose to operate, because the oversight is lower or the administration is willing to overlook shady businesses in return for tax revenue or under-the-table favors?
