Is the Squadron of Justice a recognized law enforcement group on Earth S in 1988? Could a pilot member of the SoJ, or an affiliate who is vouched for by an agent of the SoJ get emergency takeoff/landing clearance or flight plan approval on really short notice?
In particular - Dan and Carol (Sunbeam) need emergency authorization to take off in the New York metropolitan area to make an emergency flight to Florida. Carol will fly them there herself if they can't get the authorization they need. But Sunbeam helped the other Earth S heroes save the world last summer; that should give her some kind of pull with the SoJ (assuming the SoJ has some kind of pull with the authorities) and Dan and Carol would prefer to fly in their own plane (assisted and enhanced by her powers) rather than depending solely on her powers.
This kind of assumes that Carol has a way to contact the SoJ on short notice, which I don't think is a bad assumption, as she is an unaffiliated super hero and an ally of the SoJ.
Maybe I'm overthinking - but it would be bad news if Carol ran out of power and they had to ditch in the Chesapeake or something.
And, if the SoJ is more than just a name for an informal group of heroes, do they have a headquarters, computerized data storage, and a staff?

I do recall they have a headquarters, which I believe is the Hall of Justice.

Doesn't the Ibistick have levitation capabilities, though? And apart from Uncle Dudley, the Marvel Family can fly, as can Isis (if she's a Squadron member), Bulletman and Bulletwoman. The only ones with problems would be Mr Scarlet and Pinky, although they may have their own aerial transport options.

Yes, everyone in the SoJ can fly except Mr. Scarlett and Pinky. Ibis can do better than that, he can teleport. But, Spy Smasher might need emergency flight clearance. And the SoJ might have agents who can't fly? I think instead of using a major airport, Dan and Carol probably landed at a private airport - they may even have used Sunbeam's power to do a VTOL landing and can take off without clearance or even needing a runway.
I remember the Hall of Justice now also now that I am reminded. I better look it up and see what we know about it. Thanks!

Do the non-flying members of the SOJ have their own aircraft or perhaps even jet packs, though?

I am going to read all the Earth-S stories that mention the Hall of Justice and see if they look like a recognized independent law enforcement agency and figure out how much official leverage they have.

Turns out the SoJ has an interesting organization. Here are some quotes about it: ***** “I’ve got to call the Squadron of Justice hotline! Thank goodness, they established their headquarters/museum in such a public location! This is a time when a girl really needs a hero!” As she breathlessly explained the situation to the Hall of Justice’s robotic caretaker Timmy Tinkle, the gentle robot patted his metallic dog Fido and sent an electronic signal of distress through out a complex communications system. *** Captain Marvel frowned as a signal device in his belt beeped. “I’m needed at the Hall of Justice! *** Owlman realized that now that he was back home, he had no need for the heroes. He had gleaned enough data on them from the computers in the Hall of Justice that he felt confident that he knew exactly what he needed to do. *** As the group entered the palatial museum/HQ, they were surprised by two things. A sign announced that the public part of the complex was closed today and they were not greeted by the always reliable Timmy and Fido. “Strange! Our robotic pals aren’t here! For that matter neither is Sunny Sparkle and today is one of his days to volunteer as tour guide!” said Captain Marvel. *** Almost two hours later in the same day, a young man stood in a concrete square with his back to an elegant fountain, facing one of the most imposing edifices in New York City. It was not the Empire State Building. Though much more recent, the great domed hall with its glass front and golden globe over the door had already become one of the greatest attractions in the city, attracting dozens of visitors to see the trophies of the Squadron of Justice. It was the Hall of Justice, and the young man was no tourist. *** After training for three years, Marvin felt ready. He saw the broadcast by Billy Batson saying that all young heroes seeking training should present themselves on the weekend at the Hall of Justice. Ken wanted his son to wait. *** The members of his newly-christened Hero Academy sat at the round conference table in the meeting hall despondently. *** Kid Eternity radioed the NYCPD to have officers from the metahuman crimes division waiting at the Hall of Justice with equipment to take the three remaining members of the Confederation into custody. *** After the criminals were safely in custody, Captain Marvel convened an official meeting of the Squadron of Justice in the conference room, with the Hero Academy students in attendance. “I want to formally congratulate all the members of our newly-christened Hero Academy for responding to this crisis so well. It appears our plan to use the Hall of Justice as a place to train budding heroes is off to an excellent start. Along with regular training in our gym, I propose that we pass suitable cases that the Squadron is asked to take up on to Kid Eternity and his recruits, to give them field experience.” Everyone at the table knew that the Squadron of Justice received hundreds of requests every day, and most of them were so low scale that the overburdened heroes had to put them on the back burner.

So here's what I conclude about the Squadron of Justice and the Hall of Justice... I hope it is all appropriate: - The Hall of Justice is in New York City. It is a large dome and a popular tourist attraction with regular tours.
- There is a staff, including a robot attendant who has a robot dog. One of the duties of the staff is answering the Squadron of Justice Hot Line and screening calls.
- The Squadron of Justice is on good terms with governmental law enforcement agencies, and presumably a lot of calls to the Hot Line are routed to the appropriate agency by the screeners. This implies that the screeners have some very good methods for rooting out crank calls, and significant training.
- The SoJ appreciates allies and sometimes extends membership to their allies who they deem have performed excellently. They offered membership to Kid Eternity, who runs the Hero Academy for training young heroes, using SoJ facilities. Presumably their allies have some very fast way of contact them through the Hot Line.
- SoJ members wear communication devices for quick contact. It is possible that they give SoJ communicators to some of their most valuable allies.
- The SoJ has a significant computer/data storage system that is available to any member.
- I'm going to presume that the SoJ shares a subset of data with law enforcement agencies, at least a limited subset of their data is available to their allies and associates.
- They probably have robotic assistants who are constantly curating incoming information and adding it to their database, and no doubt their records about villains they have fought, past and present, is encyclopedic.

Who would be the current members of the Squadron of Justice ? Or better said of "Shazam's Squadron of Justice" like: Captain Marvel, Mary Marvel, Captain Marvel Jr leading the team? A warrior woman from a hidden race of female warladies equivalent to the Greek Amazons and Wonder Woman's Earth-S counterpart? An imposing Emperor of a race of amphibious humanoids from a vast oceanic empire with amphibious super powers comparable to those of Aquaman? A counterpart to Green Lantern from the Earth-S Universe who would possess an "emerald cosmic ring" similar to Green Lantern's Green Power Ring? A pair of winged Warlords Universe of Earth-S counterparts to Hawkman and Hawkwoman from an alien world equivalent to Thanagar? A super speedster counterpart from Flash's Earth-S Universe? An alien from one of the worlds in the terrestrial solar system with super powers comparable to those of the Martian Manhunter who would be his counterpart in the Universe of Earth-S? A sorceress with vast mystical powers who would be the Earth-S Universe counterpart of Zatanna Zatara who would be a disciple of Wizard Shazam? Earth-S Universe counterparts of Green Arrow, Black Canary, Elongated Man, The Atom, Firestorm? These are just crazy ideas, you probably have much more interesting official Fawcett Comics superheroes to use in Squadron of Justice!

Libby added some heroes to the Squadron of Justice I have never heard of... the Wizard and Zorro, and also Isis. I imagine all the Marvels, Kid Eternity, the Bullets, Scarlet (and Pinky?), Spy Smasher, and Isis.

I think it would be really cool but obviously the 1988 Earth-S versions of Captain Marvel, Mary Marvel, Captain Marvel Jr., The Lieutenants Marvel , Ibis the Invincible, Mr. Scarlet and Pinky the Whiz Kid (which obviously in Earth-S 1988 would be the closest two uniformed vigilantes could get to Batman and Robin) , Minute-Man , Phantom Eagle , Kid Eternity , Wizard , Ísis , Zorro , Bullet Man and Bullet Woman , Spy Smasher, Golden Arrow etc.

I would also think it would be simply fantastic if they happened to create Earth-S counterparts of Apache Chief, Black Vulcan, El Dorado, Samurai, Rima the Jungle Woman and The Wonder Twins !

I think Golden Arrow is also a member of the Squadron of Justice.
I just want to confirm something though - all my quotes above are from a story by Libby, but John also wrote a story that includes the Hall of Justice, and it looks like he based his Hall on Libby's, so I think my conclusions are still valid after reading his story as well.

The Full membership of the Squadron of Justice, according to my notes is Bulletman Bulletwoman Captain Marvel Jr. Captain Marvel Golden Arrow Ibis Isis Mary Marvel Minute Man Warlock Zoro
In my story, Kid Eternity is an associate, but not a member. The Hero Academy have the right to use the Hall facilities, and limited access to the Hall's computer systems, but are not members
Yes, my Hall of Justice is as consistent with Libby's as I could make it. I also modeled it on the Hall of Justice from Justice League of America Vol 2

Cool to know, it's a really interesting formation for Squadron of Justice to see 1988 versions of all these characters. May I dare to ask a question? Who are Warlock and Zorro I have never heard of these characters as superheroes from Fawcett Comics. Zorro is a descendant of the fictional character created in 1919 by North American pulp writer Johnston McCulley, the secret identity of Don Diego de la Vega? And isn't Warlock a term used to describe a type of demonic sorcerer? Please don't be offended, in no way do I want to be offensive with these questions, I'm just curious! Thank you and keep up the wonderful work on Squadron of Justice!
